Review
PC Security Test is a free tool that allows users to test the security of their computers and that educates them about the importance of protecting their PCs.
The program performs several tests and displays the results when they are completed.
Of course, PC Security Test does not use actual viruses, it's just a test. At the end of the tests, all installed test files are automatically removed.
You can select between Standard tests (the most complete suite), Email tests (to check the security of the email client used), Browser tests (to test your browser(s)) and a Proof mode (to show us what a malicious program can do with our computer).
The user interface is clear and well-designed, the tests are performed like a Wizard, showing us the results of each one.
But the most interesting is the comprehensive information resources that the program offers to inform their users better. You can read tips, and solve a quiz.
I think that is a good initiative, if every average user could learn from this program, the computer world could be 'safer'. |
